Reality is sinking in, I'm leaving for The Netherlands in just a few days! Even with all the planning and discussions about studying abroad, beginning packing and saying goodbyes are making me realize this is really happening. My emotions have ranged from slight sadness at the prospect of leaving my family, friends, and familiar comforts to excitement and anxiety at this opportunity to travel and learn in a new and challenging environment. I came across this quote today that was quite comforting: "The place where we find contentment has no earthly address." Whether I'm studying in The Netherlands or in my familiar surroundings, my contentment will come from Christ's assurance that I'm where he's planned for me to be, and that his will is made perfect in any circumstance.
I hope this blog will keep those of you who are interested updated on my time both as a tourist through Europe and as a student in Zwolle. (and will mostly consist of pictures, I imagine :) ). I anticipate hearing from several of you, also - staying updated on happenings in Pella, at Dordt, and in each of your lives..so don't be afraid to shoot me a message (using any internet means-facebook, skype, email, iMessage..) and hopefully we'll be able to stay in touch! Thank you for the encouragement over the last several weeks, you're all precious, appreciated people in my life. I'll be missing you!

I say with confidence that you will not regret it. I admire your bravery and courage to take on this new adventure. I wish I was brave like you! I love you a lot and miss you ssssssssssssssssssooooooooooo much already. Although: we are lifelong friends so it is only see you later, never good bye! Keep me updated you Krazy Kitten!
Thanks Brooke! I already miss you so much too!! But we'll definitely stay in touch and in the big scheme of things, since we'll be friends forever, it's really not that long :) Love you!
